Congress Hall Resort Hotel Blends History
and High Tech with StayOnline

.
Atlanta, May 17, 2005 The landmark Congress Hall resort hotel in the heart of historic Cape May, NJ is the first in the Victorian seaside community to offer guests a unique blend of twenty-first century amenities with the charm of a nineteenth century seaside hotel.  With Atlanta-based StayOnline, Congress Hall has installed the most recent Wi-Fi technology to immediately provide wireless internet access for guests and meeting attendees, a system that allows  additional future applications that will have both guest and operational benefits.

In order for a hotel to be successful in todays marketplace, you must involve the growing corporate sector.  Our meetings customers were requesting wireless High-Speed Internet Access and we had to find a way to meet their needs in a way that would be unobtrusive to the historic integrity of the hotel, says John Daily, General Manager, Congress Hall.  StayOnline has provided Congress Hall with a modern solution that balances the buildings charm and character with todays technology.

Since Congress Hall was first opened in 1816, visitors may have thought the hotels heyday was long gone until extensive renovation by new ownership was completed in 2002.  The renovated property has highlighted the stunning architecture and grace of a slower time and is now complete with the latest technology. This historic landmark hotel nestled in the heart of a National Historic Landmark City on the southern New Jersey shore is following an industry trend of offering wireless Internet access directly to guests, meeting planners and attendees. With 6,000 square feet of premium meeting space throughout seven spaces, Congress Hall welcomes the meetings industry in unparalleled style.

We are the first hotel in Cape May to offer this type of wireless service and expect that the citys charm coupled with this technology to bring a bigger meetings business to the city, said Daily.

While guests have driven the demand for wireless in hotels, historic properties
like Congress Hall see many advantages in using the technology. They are looking toward the future and have worked with StayOnlines engineers to provide wireless connectivity throughout the historic building, to the beach and pool and even an additional property.  The resort hotels sister property the 24-room Star Inn located in the historic village section of the township has also been outfitted with the StayOnline solution.   The hotel is currently exploring additional applications of the wireless technology that may assist with beach food and beverage service, housekeeping and more.

With historic hotels such as Congress Hall, we take pride in listening to the needs of each client property and in executing a wireless solution incorporating our state-of-the-art equipment and engineering techniques to find the balance of todays technology for their needs, said Antonio DiMilia, President and CEO of StayOnline.

While StayOnline customizes each propertys installation, the companys experience and track records provides for painless installation for the hotel and its guests.  We needed the installation completed and working in a short-time period.  StayOnline was able to come in and perform the work in a timely manner without the guests even knowing they were here, said Daily.  The installation was completed on time and on budget so we were able to meet the needs of a large meeting client.

The StayOnline wireless system that we installed for Congress Hall is designed to support various back office applications such as wireless VoIP and remote ordering from the beach at a later date.  Visionary hotels, such as Congress Hall, are turning to us to meet their technology needs today and plan for tomorrows applications which will save time and money for both the guest and the hotel, said DiMilia.
