Stephano Anamisis, General Manager of the Residence
Inn by Marriott in Lakeland, Fla., Named LBA’s
GM of the Year


Dothan, Ala. – May 18, 2005 – Stephano Anamisis, general manager of the Lakeland, Fla. Residence Inn by Marriott, has been named 2004 General Manager of the Year by management company Larry Blumberg & Associates, Inc. (LBA). 

Anamisis’ hotel, the Residence Inn by Marriott in Lakeland, Fla., also took top honors as 2004 Hotel of the Year.  Both awards were presented at LBA’s Annual General Managers Conference, held May 3-6 in the company’s hometown of Dothan, Ala. 

Anamisis, with 14 years in the lodging industry, has served as general manager for the Lakeland Residence Inn for five years.  Prior to that, he managed the Residence Inn in Madison, Wis., and has also worked in hotels under the Hilton, Sheraton and Howard Johnson brands.

The Lakeland Residence Inn was one of the top scorers in guest satisfaction last year among all 459 Residence Inn by Marriott hotels.  LBA is a three-time recipient of Marriott International’s top franchise award, the Partnership Circle Award.

LBA ( has operated primarily in the southeastern U.S. as a hotel developer and operator for 30 years.  LBA’s current 31-hotel management portfolio includes 23 Marriott hotels under the Courtyard, Residence Inn, SpringHill Suites, Fairfield Inn, Fairfield Inn & Suites, and TownePlace Suites brands; two Holiday Inns; three Holiday Inn Expresses; one Hampton Inn & Suites; one Red Roof Inn; and one Best Western.  Three additional hotels – a SpringHill Suites, Courtyard and a Hampton Inn & Suites – will open in 2005.
