Director for Konover Hotel Corporation
|West Hartford, CT – May 18, 2005 – Simon Konover, President and Chief
Executive Officer of Konover Properties Corporation, has announced that
Peter H. Mason, CHA has been appointed the Division Director for Konover
Mr. Mason directs the overall operations of the firms hotel portfolio and strategic objectives. Konover Hotel Corporation manages hotels and hospitality properties throughout the Eastern United States, including the Sheraton at Bradley International Airport and the Connecticut Expo Center.
Prior to joining Konover, Mr. Mason was Executive Vice President with Royal Host Hotels & Resorts in Calgary, Alberta. His management experience at Royal Host included Corporate Planning & Development, Acquisitions, Purchasing, Renovations, U.S. Operations, Franchising, Administration, Marketing, and Sales.
Mr. Masons career also included two years in senior management with Chartwell Leisure, Inc. in New York as well as sixteen years in varying management capacities with Forte Hotels.
In his announcement, Mr. Konover said, “Hotel operations and strategic planning have been the focus of Mr. Masons 25-year career in the hospitality industry. He is a key addition to Konover's management team as we continue to expand Konover's hotel and hospitality portfolio.”
