The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority
Appoints Bob Pellegrini as Vice President
of Sales at the Boston Convention
Marketing Center

BOSTON, Mass., May 9, 2005 - The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (MCCA) today announced that Bob Pellegrini has joined the Boston Convention Marketing Center (BCMC) as vice president of sales responsible for driving the sales efforts at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center and the John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center.

Pellegrini comes to the BCMC from Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide where he was director of sales and marketing at the Westin Copley Place Boston. He has also worked for Hyatt Hotels & Resorts as director of sales and marketing at the Hyatt Regency in Cambridge, Mass. and the Hyatt Regency New Brunswick, New Jersey.

�Bob brings a wealth of experience to the BCMC sales team,� said James E. Rooney, executive director of the MCCA. �His many years of hotel experience in the Boston and regional market place will provide our customers with superior expertise and service.�

Opened in June 2004 the BCEC is Boston�s newest exhibition facility featuring 516,000 square feet of contiguous exhibit space and in close proximity to 35,000 hotel rooms and Logan International Airport. BCEC meeting room facilities feature 160,000 square feet of space with 84 fully configurable meeting rooms and a 62 bay loading dock, including five bays with elephant doors and 14 bays with load levelers.
