Hotel Brandenburger Hof in Berlin, Germany Leaving
Relais & Chateaux to Join Small Luxury
Hotels of the World
.

May 27, 2005 - The 82 -room Hotel Brandenburger Hof in Berlin has left Relais & Chateaux to join Small Luxury Hotels of the World.  The Hotel Brandenburger Hof becomes the first member of SLH in Berlin and the third total in Germany.  The two other hotels that belong to the luxury brand that comprises 329 hotels in 57 countries are the Hotel Belle Epoque in Baden-Baden and the Hotel Die Hirschgasse Heidelberg in Heidelberg.

The five-star hotel features a Michelin-starred restaurant, Die Quadriga, whose cellar offers the largest selection of German wines in the world.  Alternatively, guests may dine in the hotels Winter Garden.  The hotel also boasts works by leading artists ranging from Impressionist to contemporary periods in both public areas and bedrooms.  Continuing the soothing state of mind is the Thaleia Massage & Beauty Suite, which is one of few in Germany to use products from the Kanebo range.

Comments hotel proprietor Daniela Sauter, SLH is the fastest-growing brand of independent luxury hotels, and membership gives us access to some of the highest-spending and most discerning hotel guests in the world.

Only one in four hotels that applies to join SLH each year is accepted.  Membership will provide global marketing exposure for the hotel as well as instant recognition amongst the wealthiest international leisure and business travelers.  Other advantages of SLH membership for the Hotel Brandenburger Hof include inclusion in 300,000 copies of the award-winning Member Directory distributed globally; worldwide promotion through slh.com and The Club, a guest recognition program; plus inclusion in the SLH central reservations service that annually handles over $65 million worth of bookings.  On average, guests staying in SLH properties spend around $400 per night and stay for three nights.

Says Richard Curtis, Vice-President, Marketing EMEA for SLH, Small Luxury Hotels will be strengthened by the involvement of the Hotel Brandenburger Hof.  Our loyal clientele will be glad to have the opportunity to experience the high standards that it sets.

The Small Luxury Hotels of the World brand is a collection of over 320 independently-owned exclusive hotels in more than 50 countries. Carefully selected for their style and sophistication, Small Luxury Hotels features award-winning properties including spas, country houses, golf resorts, island retreats, city sanctuaries, and game and wilderness lodges.
