Northwest Hospitality Group Appoints Ted Capener Jr.
as General Manager and Jacque Clark as Director
of Sales for the Homewood Suites Salt Lake City

Salt Lake City, Utah (May 12, 2005) - Homewood Suites Salt Lake City, a Hilton Hotel opening this fall in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City, has appointed Ted Capener, Jr. as General Manager and Jacque Clark as Director of Sales.  Capener and Clark bring to the new property a combined 29 years of experience in the hospitality industry, over half of which has been in the state of Utah. 

Ted Capener comes to Homewood Suites with almost 20 years of hospitality industry experience at the management level. In addition to spending six years in a variety of management positions with the Marriott Corporation in Chicago, Ill., Kalamazoo, Mich. and Kansas City, Mo., he spent four years as Director of Rooms at Silver King Hotel in Park City, Utah and four years as General Manager at the Salt Lake City Courtyard by Marriott.  Capener graduated from the University of Utah.

A Utah native, Jacque Clark, brings 10 years of sales experience in the hospitality industry to Homewood Suites.  Clark was previously Director of Sales at the Shilo Hotel and the former Sheraton Airport Hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah, as well as at the Comfort Inn and Suites in Layton, Utah.  She spent nearly five years as the Advertising Sales Director at the Salt Lake Convention & Visitors Bureau. 

Homewood Suites Salt Lake City, a Hilton Hotel, is being developed by US Development.  Northwest Hospitality Group of Vancouver, Wash., which runs 14 other similar properties, will manage the property.

Homewood Suites by Hilton Salt Lake City is a 124-room, high caliber all-suites hotel that will be ideally situated in the Gateway area of downtown Salt Lake City.  The property will feature five meeting rooms, three that can be converted into a ballroom and 1,800 square feet of meeting space, as well as on site business and fitness centers and restaurants.  Signature Homewood Suites amenities will include a �Suite Start� hot breakfast and manager�s �Welcome Home� reception.
