Rosewood Celebrates 25 Years |
DALLAS, Texas Apr. 15,
2005 - Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, the premier manager of ultra-luxury
hotels and resorts throughout the world, is commemorating a milestone this
year with the 25th anniversary celebration of the company. Founded in 1979
by Caroline Rose Hunt, a member of the legendary Dallas Hunt family, the
Rosewood legacy began with Ms. Hunts vision to restore an old mansion
into a world-class restaurant and hotel which she named The Mansion on
Turtle Creek, A Rosewood Hotel. A woman of impeccable taste, Ms. Hunt fashioned
The Mansion on Turtle Creek with a residential feel and it still retains
the intimate ambience of a private residence while providing the highest
levels of quality and service. Each Rosewood property evokes a sense of
its locations culture, history and geography in combination with exceptional
service and attention to detail. Ms. Hunts vision is today shared with
her own children and grandchildren, many of whom play a role at Rosewood
Hotels & Resorts worldwide.
Over the last 25 years, countless families have visited Rosewood properties, bringing their children and then grandchildren, passing down the legacy and tradition of Rosewood vacations. In celebration of the rich history that has grown on the Rosewood family tree, Rosewood has proclaimed 2005 the year of Three Generations of Luxury. Three Generations of Luxury will be celebrated at all Rosewood Hotels & Resorts worldwide through a special package designed to bring families together. The package includes a special rate for three generations of a family staying in three guestrooms for three nights, a photographed group portrait taken on property, a special family dinner arranged by the hotel or resort, and breakfast daily. Additionally, there will be a Director of Family Affairs at each property to help families realize the ideal vacation together. Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has also created the Next Generation promotion to honor the future Rosewood guest. The Next Generation promotion is a gift certificate from the Rosewood property of your choice that can be purchased in 2005 at todays rates for guests next generation to redeem and complete their stay at a future time, which could be next year or up to 25 years from now. As guests families mature, so do the legendary properties in the Rosewood collection. 2005 marks significant milestones at several world-renowned locations: 25th anniversary of The Mansion on Turtle Creek, the flagship Rosewood hotel; 50th anniversary of Caneel Bay, A Rosewood Resort, which was founded by Laurance S. Rockefeller and rests within the Virgin Islands National Park on St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands; and, the 75th anniversary of The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel, an icon of the New York City skyline. The Three Generations of Luxury package and Next Generation promotion are offered by all of Rosewoods properties and can be purchased by calling Rosewood Hotels & Resorts direct at 888.ROSEWOOD (888.767.3966) or by calling the properties direct.
