|SALISBURY, Md., June 20, 2005 — Marshall Management, Inc., a leading,
mid-sized hotel management company, today announced that it has signed
a contract to manage the Tidewater Inn in Easton on Maryland’s Eastern
Shore. The new contract brings to 10 the number of properties Marshall
manages in Maryland and is the company’s fourth announced management contract
“The Tidewater Inn is a popular local landmark and the anchor of downtown Easton,” said Michael Marshall, president of Marshall Management. “We believe our years of experience with other historic and independent hotels will allow us to approach the Tidewater Inn with fresh ideas. The fact that our company is based on the Eastern Shore adds to our understanding of the area and the requirements needed to succeed in the market, and we look forward to helping the Tidewater Inn assume its rightful position as a market leader.”
The hotel is located at 101 East Dover Street, in the heart of the historic district, and is within a short distance of several local golf courses, St. Michael’s Maritime Museum, and a number of fishing and sailing shops. The property, which features 100 rooms and 14 suites, offers 10,000 square feet of meeting space, with 15 meeting and eight private dining/banquet rooms capable of accommodating groups as large as 300 people. Among the hotel’s many amenities are an outdoor pool, the popular Tidewater Terrace and Grill restaurant, and guide and dog kenneling services for hunters staying at the hotel. All guest rooms are furnished with 18th century antique reproductions and fabrics.
