Hires Two VPs, Irene Hoek and Bill Bagwill |

ATLANTA (June 2, 2005) - InterContinental Hotels Group, (IHG) [LON:
IHG, NYSE: IHG (ADRs)], the world�s largest and most global hotel company,
announces it has named Irene Hoek to the position of VP, Development, the
Americas, focusing on InterContinental Hotels & Resorts opportunities
and Bill Bagwill to the position of VP, Development, the Americas, Southeast
region, focusing on InterContinental Hotels & Resorts and Crowne Plaza
Hotels & Resorts opportunities.
Prior to joining IHG, Irene was the VP, Development, St. Regis, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, where her primary responsibility was to grow Starwood�s St. Regis brand in the Americas. Irene started her career in hospitality at Starwood Hotels & Resorts in 1996, where she served as the Director of Development, EMEA, until 2000. In 2000, Irene left Starwood to serve as senior associate, Mergers and Acquisitions Group for BNY Capital Markets, Inc., but returned to Starwood as VP, Development in 2002. Bill rejoins the IHG family from Hospitality Solutions LLC, where as founder and principal, he delivered consulting services to hospitality industry investors, owners and developers, as well as management companies in business development and strategic planning. From 1999 to 2004, Bill served as SVP, Acquisitions and Development, Interstate Hotels and Resorts Company, the nation�s largest independent hotel management company. Prior to that from 1990 to 1999 Bill served as VP, Development, the Americas for InterContinental Hotels & Resorts. Bill started his hospitality career with the Sheraton Corporation where, from 1980 through 1990, he held roles of increasing responsibility in the development arena, including that of Regional Director, Asia Pacific, and Director of Development, North America. �Having these four industry veterans will allow us to respond to the increased demand for our upscale brands - InterContinental Hotels and Crowne Plaza Hotels - through management and franchising, as well as selective acquisitions,� said Kinsell.
