Bruce T. Fery Named EVP of Hotels for Earl Holding's
Grand America Hotels and Resorts

SALT LAKE CITY, June 23, 2005 - The Grand America Hotels and Resorts today announced the promotion of Bruce T. Fery as executive vice president of hotels. The hotel division consists of independently owned properties by Earl Holding including, The Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah; Little America properties in Arizona, Wyoming and Utah; and The Westgate Hotel in San Diego, California.
 
"Creating this position is a natural step for our company given the growth of our hotel division," said Earl Holding, owner of Sinclair Oil Corporation, parent company of The Grand America Hotels and Resorts. "Bruce's strong leadership and 20 years of hotel experience will make a significant impact on the success of our hotel division."

Fery will remain as the general manager of The Grand America Hotel, as well as report directly to Earl Holding to execute the growth of the hotel division. In his new role, he will be responsible for developing an overall properties brand that will enable

the hotels to remain competitive in the growing hospitality industry. Keeping with the traditions initiated by the Holding family, from the inception of the first Little America to the building of Grand America, the hotel division will work more efficiently as a unit bringing quality products and services to a wide range of customers.

Fery has over 20 years of extensive experience in the hospitality industry, including management positions with Red Lion for 14 years. Before joining The Grand America Hotels and Resorts, Fery developed The Business Group, LLC, a hospitality consulting firm in the Pacific Northwest. Prior to that he was the CEO of The Heathman Group, a diverse hospitality and commercial real estate company, where he developed award-winning restaurants, hotels and lodges. His previous experience operating multiple hotels, developing and maintaining consistent brand integrity, and working with family owned businesses makes him an ideal candidate for this newly developed position.

The Grand America, Salt Lake City's only Five Diamond hotel, is part of the collection of hotels and resorts owned by Earl Holding.  The collection features Sun Valley Resort in Sun Valley, Idaho, ranked seventh among the nation's top ski areas by SKI Magazine in 2003-4; Snowbasin Ski Resort just outside of Salt Lake City, site of the 2002 Downhill and Super G Races; the Westgate Hotel in San Diego; and Little America properties in Utah, Arizona, and Wyoming.
