 Ramesys' Solutions Enhance Business at Historic Sussex Hotels
(April 27, 2005) -- Historic Sussex Hotels (HSH), a family run business of three exclusive country house hotels have just made a major investment in Ramesys.  HSH has decided to enhance their business potential by incorporating the latest Front Office, Sales and Catering, Point of Sale (POS) and Online Reservation solutions from Ramesys and Kinetic Solutions Kx Sales & Catering at all three hotels (Climping, Cuckfield and Midhurst, UK).
 
Communications Director, Miranda Carminger, explained, "We chose Ramesys because they have a good reputation with an impressive portfolio of clients throughout the UK.  As a result, we felt assured that HSH would receive experienced and knowledgeable support throughout the lifetime of the installation.  The friendly, helpful and accommodating nature of Ramesys staff was also a contributing factor."

The total Ramesys solution that HSH chose consists of:
•          Entirety Front Office
•          Kx Sales and Catering
•          Aztec POS
•          E.res Online Reservations
•          Hardware upgrade

Entirety and Kx gave HSH a global solution, which means that they can cross book bedrooms and conference rooms from any hotel in the group.  E.res was a natural addition to Entirety as it allows guests to book from the HSH website (http://www.hshotels.co.uk) 24 hours a day.  The booking is automatically sent into Entirety and no booking fee or commission is incurred by HSH.

In addition, HSH wanted a sophisticated POS solution that could manage stock control and that would allow employees to dial in from head office to all sites, as well as produce extensive reports on exactly what has been sold at each site.

Carminger continued, "The decision to install a new Property Management System (PMS) across the group has been ongoing for a couple of years and the project has evolved over time to incorporate new systems for all aspects of the business.  This will enhance communications between sites aiding improved customer service and ensure customer satisfaction."

Overall, the solution has given HSH the right tools needed to:
•          run a more streamlined operation
•          have increased revenue earning potential
•          improve communications and reporting group wide
