21, 2005 � Mike Fahner, vice president of development and marketing for
ARAMARK Harrison Lodging, has recently been appointed a member of the International
Association of Conference Center�s (IACC) Board of Directors. He
has been selected for his outstanding performance and dedication to the
conference center industry.
Fahner gained much of his experience in the conference center industry over the past 20 years. In his current role at ARAMARK, Fahner serves as vice president of development and marketing where he manages the growth of the company. Prior to this role, he served as vice president of sales and marketing. Prior to joining ARAMARK, he spent 17 years with Marriott in a variety of positions including regional vice president of sales and marketing, regional director of sales and marketing, and national director of sales training and staffing development. Fahner began his career as
a meeting planner, so he understands the business from both the sales and
execution sides. He has been a guest lecturer and visiting teacher
at Cornell University, and has also spoken at Penn State University, University
of the District of Columbia, University of New Hampshire as well as industry
organizations.
