HFTP to Hold Historic Meeting in Australia |
Frank I. Wolfe, CAE, executive vice president and CEO of HFTP, will lead the meeting that will introduce HFTP to the Australian hospitality community. Wolfe will concentrate on how HFTP helps its members understand and capitalize on the issues facing the hospitality industry. Wolfe will be assisted by Ted Horner, managing director of E. Horner and Associates and founder of the Australian Hospitality Technology Conference and Exhibition (www.ahtconf.com.au). Horner, whose international consulting firm is based in Australia, will also head up the organizing committee that will lay the foundation to charter an HFTP chapter in the Australian capital. HFTP chapters allow members to connect with one another face to face. Meetings are educational in nature answering the latest questions in hospitality finance and technology. As a member of HFTP, professionals are provided with a global network of industry professionals, online resources and continuing education. "Mr. Horner is a member of the HFTP International Hospitality Technology Hall of Fame Award, and is recognized as one of the leading authorities on hospitality technology in Australia and surrounding countries," said Agnello. "While HFTP represents both hospitality finance and technology, we are pleased that Mr. Horner is going to help us organize a chapter of HFTP in Australia. As the global resource for hospitality technology and finance information, HFTP has been working on several projects that our global members will find beneficial." The meeting is to be held at the Rydges-Jameson Sydney Hotel on May 17, 2005 from 6 - 7:30 p.m. and will precede the Australian Hospitality Technology Conference and Exhibition, scheduled for Sydney on May 18 and 19.
