Debi L. Besmer Named Director of Marketing
 at Loews Coronado Bay Resort

SAN DIEGO - March 3, 2005 -- Loews Coronado Bay Resort announces the appointment of Debi L. Besmer as director of marketing, according to Kathleen Cochran, general manager.

Besmer brings more than 20 years of first-class sales and marketing experience at some of the country's finest hotels and resorts. Throughout her career she has earned a reputation for superlative leadership, and proven capabilities in revenue management, group business assessment and market positioning. In her new role, Besmer will oversee all aspects of the resort's marketing efforts.

"Debi's extended role in sales, strategic customer relations and management make her an ideal candidate to lead our marketing initiatives," said Cochran. "We're thrilled to share in her out-of-the-box thinking as we continue to remain competitive and offer an unparalleled guest experience."

Besmer's career in hospitality originated when she was 19 years old. A catering position at the Hanalei Hotel in San Diego led to an onslaught of director positions. Most recently, Besmer served as director of sales and marketing at The Westin Horton Plaza in San Diego. She was instrumental in launching an advertising campaign for The Westin's newest innovation, The Westin Workout powered by Reebok.

Besmer has been affiliated with various organizations, including San Diego Convention & Visitors Bureau, San Diego City Arts and Second Chance's Adopt a Block program. In her spare time, she can be found cruising the streets on her speed roller blades or Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
