Omni Hotels Wins Approval to Build $90 million
Convention Center Hotel in Downtown Fort Worth

IRVING, Texas, March 30, 2005 - Omni Hotels won approval today from the Fort Worth City Council to build a $90 million luxury hotel adjacent to the city's convention center.

"We're proud to add the Omni Hotels flag to Fort Worth's burgeoning downtown scene," said Mike Deitemeyer, president of Omni Hotels.  "The City of Fort Worth has been a bold, forward-thinking partner, and together we can build upon the city's growing reputation as a leading destination for meetings and conventions."

The approved plans call for a multi-story hotel that boasts approximately 600 guest rooms, 48,000 square feet of meeting space, two restaurants, a pool, an exercise facility and an underground parking garage.  Luxury condominiums could be included on the building's top floors, depending on market studies conducted by Omni Hotels.

The hotel's architecture and design will draw upon Fort Worth's strong cultural roots and bold Texas pride.  Every Omni Hotel uniquely reflects the personality of the local landscape, yet they are linked by four-diamond amenities and superior service.  The Fort Worth hotel will feature Omni's high-level standards, including state-of-the-art equipment, sophisticated communication technology and complimentary Wi-Fi access in the guest rooms as well as the public areas.

Omni Hotels hopes to break ground on the project by the end of the year and to open the hotel in 2008.  Costs will be privately funded by Omni Hotels and will not require city bonds of any type, although the final agreement with the City of Fort Worth does include financial incentives.

Based just outside Fort Worth in Irving, Texas, Omni Hotels offers luxury accommodations and exceptional personalized service that's surprisingly sensible at 40 hotels and resorts in the United States, Mexico and Canada.  Their hotels provide four-diamond services, including free Wi-Fi and high-speed Internet access, in-room treadmills, on-site business and fitness centers, in-room speaker phones with dual lines and voicemail, complimentary guest robes, exquisite decor and gourmet dining.
