Vice President, Performance Management
|BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., – March 8, 2005 – Hilton Hotels
Corporation has announced the promotion of Scott Farr to the position
of vice president, Performance Management, responsible for championing
the business planning process, the balanced scorecard process and the
continuous improvement process. He will lead the Performance Management
Group in its vision to ensure that every team member will know and be
able to measure how his or her activities affect the overall vision and
strategy of Hilton Hotels Corporation. Farr reports to Dennis Koci,
senior vice president, Operations Support.
Farr began his career with Price Waterhouse as an accountant and a consultant in 1986. In 1991, he became a senior auditor for BDO Seidman and then went to McKee Foods Corporation in 1992, where he served as business systems manager. From 1999 to 2001 he worked as a senior consultant for Orion Consulting and the Corvu Corporation. He joined Hilton Hotels Corporation in 2001 as director of Performance Management, where he has worked to automate business processes – moving them to the Web where possible – and worked with individual departments to help them improve their performance, often using balanced scorecard and Six Sigma philosophies and tools.
Farr received his bachelor’s of science degree in business administration from Auburn University and became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of Alabama.
