Irvine, CA - March 28, 2005 -- Colliers International Hotels
today announced they have arranged the sale of 2.1 acres of land
in the Anaheim Resort District to be developed as a vacation ownership
resort, and the sale of the Hilton San Diego Mission Valley.
The Anaheim Resort land was sold to Trendwest Resorts. The parcel
is located at 201 W. Katella Ave. and is part of the Hotel Circle Specific
Plan. The seller was Mantra, LLC. Trendwest has obtained approvals
to develop a 14-story, 255 unit vacation resort on the property.
The Hilton San Diego Mission Valley
was sold to HEI Hospitality Fund Acquisition, LLC. The seller was
Mission Valley Associates who developed the property in 1987. The
351 room, 13-story full service hotel originally opened as a Doubletree
and was later converted to a Hilton Hotel in 1992. The property has
421 parking spaces, 20,000 square feet of meeting space, a 3-meal restaurant
and sports bar.
The sales were arranged by Colliers International Hotel�s newly opened
southern California office in Irvine and their San Francisco office.
