Distinguished Hotels International Names David Moth
Executive Vice President for Miami Beach Office

.

NEW YORK - January 28, 2005 -  Distinguished Hotels International (DHI), a new marketing and management consortium headquartered in New York and London, has opened a development and sales office in Miami Beach and named veteran hospitality professional David Moth as Executive Vice President.

Moth was most recently general manager for The Tides Hotel in Miami Beach.  In his new role, he will work out of the Miami Beach office, overseeing membership development, sales and marketing for DHI's North American operations.

The creation of DHI represents the merger of Distinguished Hotels International in the United States with United Kingdom-based Grand Heritage Hotels International and offers corporate and leisure travelers a prestigious collection of more than 130 luxury independent properties in the United Kingdom, Ireland, mainland Europe, Africa, the West Indies, and North America.  Each property is described as a "uniquely different lifestyle hotel" with exceptional amenities and facilities.

Moth discovered his passion for hotels as a young man while traveling regularly on family vacations.  He set his goals to work in the hotel business, securing a corporate traineeship and a college business degree in Sydney, Australia.  Moth's career includes senior management roles at upscale boutique hotels such as the Southern Cross in Sydney; Necker Island and Little Dix Bay, both in the British Virgin Islands; Jalousie Plantation Resort and Spa in St. Lucia; Cuisinart Resort and Spa in Anguilla; and Malmaison Glasgow in Scotland.  He also worked as Director of Meetings for the Caribbean Hotel Association, managing and marketing industry events such as CHA Marketplace, the Caribbean Hotel Industry Conference, A Taste of the Caribbean, and the first Caribbean Hotel Investment Conference.

"David brings to Distinguished Hotels International in-depth experience in hotel operations combined with an intimate knowledge of marketing upscale, unique and lifestyle hotels, resorts and spas," said DHI President William F. Burruss.  "We're also delighted to have him lead our new office in Miami Beach, one of the most important cities in the world for hospitality and tourism."

Although the company will manage some of the properties it represents, its central role out of New York and Miami will be to market its hotel affiliates to potential visitors, including leisure travelers, business travelers, company executives, government dignitaries, celebrities, and meeting and trade show planners.

Distinguished Hotels International properties in North America include The Eastland Park in Portland, Maine; The Hotel Lawrence in Dallas; The Cartwright in San Francisco; Le Grand Lodge in Mont-Tremblant, Quebec; the Tides and The Kent, both in Miami Beach; Thirty Thirty in New York; The Beacon Hotel & Corporate Suites and the St. Gregory Hotel in Washington; The River Terrace Inn in Napa Valley, Calif.; and The Palm Island in The Grenadines, West Indies.

Distinguished Hotels International properties in Europe include The Hotel Le Tourville in Paris; The Palazzo Abadessa in Venice; The Hotel Ambassador in Vienna; The Royal Park Hotel in London; and The Dalhousie Castle & Spa in Scotland.

Distinguished Hotels' Miami Beach office is located at 1150 Collins Avenue, Suite 501, Miami Beach, FL, 33139.
