$26 Million in Publicity Value Accelerates
Tiburon Hospitality Management Exposure

.

Carefree, AZ - February 28, 2005 -  In just two short years of taking over the management of its three destination resorts, Tiburon Hospitality Management has garnered more than $26 million dollars in estimated publicity value for its properties.

According to Carol Baetzel, corporate director of public relations for Tiburon Hospitality, each of the properties have been featured on national television networks or prime time cable programming, and have received more than 93 million editorial impressions in less than 24 months.

In tabulating our media analysis reports, calculating the number of impressions and determining the ad value and frequency of publication or airing, it was evident weve been successful in not only making a strategic impact in the national media, but in the local and regional markets as well.  Most companies cant afford to buy that kind of exposure, said Baetzel.

Most recently, Tiburons South Carolina property, Daufuskie Island Resort & Breathe Spa, an exclusive island resort located just off the coast of Hilton Head,

was the site of ABCs hit reality show, The Bachelorette, when it was chosen as one of the series fantasy date getaways that aired February 14th, 2005.  In 2004, the same resort received a 30 minute segment on the Travel Channels Great Hotels & Resorts and as a result from that, was chosen as one of the Travel Channels Top 10 Island Hotels in America for an additional segment. http://www.daufuskieresort.com/

One of our key strategies for THM in repositioning the properties was to aggressively pursue the print and broadcast media contacts who we knew would be able to provide maximum exposure to the travel and leisure markets while still maintaining a strong presence in the hotel and meeting trades.  And Carol has done a stellar job of driving this effort, said John Davies, vice president of sales and marketing for Tiburon.

Tiburons other two properties, Ocean Place Resort & Spa on the Jersey Shore (www.oceanplaceresort.com), and Carefree Resort & Villas in Carefree, Arizona, http://www.carefree-resort.com/ have also played host to or have  been featured by The Travel Channels Vacation Home Search, The Learning Channel, ESPN2, MSNBC, CNBC and Headline News. In addition, Tiburons public relations effort focused heavily on pitching and securing more than 93 qualified freelance and travel media visits to the three resorts.

Baetzel also credits Tiburons public relations successes to the long-term partnership they have with the companys advertising agency, The Starmack Group, out of San Diego.  They work closely in determining each resorts annual media plans and strategies and combining those efforts with additional editorial opportunities.

Editorial placements have included Conde Nast Traveler, Travel & Leisure, Travel & Leisure Golf, US Weekly, New York Daily News, New York Times, Sunset Magazine, Successful Meetings, The Record, New York Post, Spa Magazine, Golfweek and Corporate & Incentive Travel to name a few.

Tiburons PR effort also focused on cultivating and developing relationships with the local chambers of commerce and convention and visitors bureaus in each of its resorts respective cities to ensure participation with incoming media fams and events, as well as hosting individual writers visiting those destinations.  Developing solid relationships with the local CVBs and chambers is a key element in securing media exposure not only for the host city but for the resorts as well.  Its a win win situation for both partners, said Baetzel.

Headquartered in Carefree, AZ, Tiburon Hospitality Management manages three award-winning destination resort properties including the 360-room Carefree Resort & Villas in Carefree, AZ; the 220-room Daufuskie Island Resort & Breathe Spa off Hilton Head Island, SC; and the 254-room Ocean Place Resort & Spa in Long Branch, NJ.  For further information, visit the website at www.tiburonhospitality.com.
