Kimpton Hotels� Boston Properties Hotel Marlowe and
the Onyx Hotel Expand Management Teams

BOSTON, MA (February 22, 2005) � Kimpton Hotels� two Boston-area properties today announced the expansion of their onsite management teams.  Kimpton has appointed Talin Kugu as Area Director of Revenue.  Thomas R. Thorn, formerly Hotel Marlowe�s Director of Sales, has been promoted to Area Director of Sales.  In addition, The Onyx Hotel named Nicole LeBoeuf as Director of Sales and Paul A. Sauceda as Sales Manager, and Hotel Marlowe appointed Kellie Ellerman as conference Services Manager.

Talin Kugu brings nearly 15 years experience in hospitality management to Kimpton Hotels.  Kugu spent most of her career with Swissotel, both in Istanbul, Turkey and later in Boston.  At Swissotel Boston, Kugu was responsible for preparing the room revenue budget, weekly and monthly forecasts, determining rates and more.  Her responsibilities for Kimpton will include creating tactical revenue strategies to maximize occupancy and rate, on-line pricing strategies and positioning, managing hotel inventory, forecasting revenues weekly, monthly, and annually for both Onyx Hotel and Hotel Marlowe.

Thomas R. Thorn has been with Hotel Marlowe as Director of Sales since March of 2003. While in that role, he successfully opened the first Kimpton Hotel on the East Coast. As the Kimpton portfolio has grown to include the new Onyx Hotel downtown Boston so has Tom Thorn�s responsibilities with his recent appointment as Area Director of Sales and Marketing for both properties.  In his new position, Thorn will oversee strategic sales planning, tactical direct sales efforts and cross-selling initiatives for the Onyx and Hotel Marlowe as well as manage marketing, advertising, and public relations for both hotels.

Nicole LeBoeuf assumes overall responsibility for all sales efforts and staff to maximize top line revenue for the Onyx Hotel.  Ms. LeBoeuf brings eight years of experience in hospitality sales to the Onyx.  She previously served as Business Transient Sales Manager at the Radisson Hotel Boston and was Corporate Sales Manager at Radisson Riverfront Hotel in Augusta, GA.  She holds an Associates degree in Travel Tourism Management and a Bachelor�s in Hospitality Sales and Meeting Management from Johnson and Wales.

Paul Sauceda also joins the Onyx Hotel as Sales Manager responsible for identifying and growing corporate accounts.  Formerly, a Sales Manager responsible for increasing corporate transient business at Boston Park Plaza Hotel, Mr. Sauceda leveraged his background in food and beverage management to better identify and support the needs of group and convention business.   Prior to joining the Park Plaza as a Banquet Manager, Mr. Sauceda held the prestigious position of Associate Chef Instructor at Le Cordon Bleu in New Hampshire.

Kellie Ellerman joins Hotel Marlowe from the Sheraton Commander Hotel in Cambridge, MA where she was Catering Manager responsible for creating and planning all corporate and social events for up to 425 attendees.  Prior to her time at the Sheraton, Ms. Ellerman was Events Staff Manager at US Concepts, Inc., in Chicago and Boston.  She holds a BA in Industry Organizational Psychology and Management from DePaul University in Chicago and is TIPS certified and recognized as a professional bridal consultant.
