American Hospitality Management, Inc. Opens 96 room
Holiday Inn Express in Lexington, Kentucky

ATLANTA (Feb. 15, 2005) -  InterContinental Hotels Group announced today that the new 96-room Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Lexington Downtown University, recently opened, representing another addition to the mid-scale brand's portfolio of limited-service hotels. With the addition of the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Lexington Downtown University, there are now 33 Holiday Inn Express hotels with more than 2,100 guestrooms in the state of Kentucky.

The Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Lexington Downtown University is owned by South Broadway Place Hotel Associates, LLC and managed by American Hospitality Management, Inc., under a license agreement with a company in the InterContinental Hotels Group and is located at 1000 Export St., Lexington, Ky., 40504.

"We've invested $7 million to build this property and we are thrilled with the end result," said Fredrick W. Kindell, vice president, operations, AHM, Inc. "Holiday Inn Express is modern, fresh, clean and uncomplicated and a perfect fit for the Lexington area."

The new 50,000 sq.-ft. hotel is located at the entrance to the University of Kentucky Campus and minutes from University of Kentucky Football Stadium, Kentucky Horse Park, Keeneland, Red Mile, Rupp Arena, Central Baptist Hospital, Samaritan Hospital, St. Joseph Hospital and the Lexington Airport.  The hotel is also located next door to the new $91million Bio Lab.
