Gantenbein began his hospitality career with Registry Hotel Corporation, serving in various management positions, including food and beverage director at the company�s flagship property in Dallas.  He joined Loews Hotels and during his 14-year tenure opened the Loews Anatole Hotel and served as managing director for more than six years, then oversaw the construction, development, marketing and operations of the Loews Coronado Bay Resort in San Diego.  Gantenbein then directed the design, construction and development of the $250 million Bacara Resort & Spa in Santa Barbara.
 
Prior to assuming his management position at Britt Scripps Inn, Gantenbein was a marketing and new business development consultant with Project Dynamics, working with such companies as St. Regis Hotels and Resorts, Montage Hotels & Resorts and Peninsula Hotels.
 
Gantenbein received a bachelor�s degree in business administration and graduated magna cum laude from Wichita State University.  He later completed the Program Management Development at the Harvard Business School.
