Bonnie Waltman, Helen Arthur & Paul McCook Appointed
to Executive Positions at The Clarion Hotel &
Conference Center Antietam Creek
in Hagerstown, Maryland

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (February 2005) -- The Clarion Hotel & Conference Center Antietam Creek, a 210-room meetings hotel in Hagerstown, Md., owned and managed by affiliates of Magna Hospitality Group, L.C., is re-emerging as one of the top places to meet in the Washington-Baltimore Corridor by naming three hospitality veterans to executive sales, marketing, and food and beverage positions.
 
Bonnie Waltman, has returned to Hagerstown as the hotel's Director of Group Sales.  She worked at the hotel from 1995-1998, taking on stints such as Acting Director of Sales and Senior Sales Manager.  In her new role, she will help re-establish previous hotel business, focusing on short- and long-term bookings.  Before rejoining the hotel, she held sales management positions at the Sheraton Baltimore North in Towson, Md., and the Residence Inn in Gaithersburg, Md.

Helen Arthur has joined the hotel as Associate Director of Sales.  A 26-year hospitality sales veteran, she most recently was Director of Sales for the Boardwalk Hotel Group, a collection of hotels in Ocean City, Md.  She has in-depth experience working with military and fraternal groups, the motor coach industry in the eastern half of the nation, and the tourism market in Maryland.

Paul McCook has been promoted from Director of Banquet Operations to Director of Food & Beverage.  He has handled catering and/or management roles with high profile businesses such as the Marriott New York City Hotel, the Hilton Washington (D.C.) Hotel and Roy Rogers Restaurants.  In his new role, he will oversee conference services, catering, banquets and the hotel's kitchen operations.

The hotel, located at 901 Dual Highway in Hagerstown, features 199 spacious guest rooms and 11 luxury suites; 30,000 square feet of flexible meeting space; a learning center for self-contained and focused group meetings; a poolside tropical garden atrium reception/party area; free parking with more than 800 spaces; and the Andrews Steak and Seafood Restaurant, featuring Phillips Seafood.
