Jeffrey Mayers Appointed General Manager for the
377-room Riverview Plaza Hotel in Downtown
Mobile, Alabama


October, 2004 - Jeffrey Mayers was recently appointed general manager for Riverview Plaza Hotel, according to Steve Solberg, chief operating officer for PCH Hotels & Resorts.  

The Riverview Plaza is a 377-room luxury hotel in downtown Mobile, which was purchased this past summer by Retirement Systems of Alabama.

The new general manager was most recently employed by Interstate Hotel Corporation at The Westin Poinsett Hotel in Greenville, South Carolina.  He has also served Interstate Hotel Corporation as Director of Operations at Renaissance WorldGate Hotel in Kissimmee, Florida; Rooms Director for Don CeSar Beach Resort and Spa in St. Petersburg, Florida; and Rooms Director for Marriott’s Casa Marina Resort in Key West, Florida.

He is a member of the Greenville Hospitality Association, a member of the Board of Directors for the Greenville Convention and Visitors Bureau and a member of the Board of Directors of the South Carolina Hotel Motel Association.

Mayers is a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in governmental affairs and political science.

PCH Hotels & Resorts manages fine hotels along the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail throughout the state of Alabama.
