November 8, 2004 - InterContinental Hotels Group establishes the award-winning Holiday Inn brand in Tianjin in the Tianjin Economic and Development Area (TEDA), Tianjinís business and economic hub.

Holiday Inn Binhai Tianjin is slated to open by third quarter of 2005.

Holiday Inn Binhai Tianjin is part of a major business and leisure complex, boasting an expansive shopping mall that features fast food restaurants, entertainment outlets, and a cinema. 

The hotel will feature three food and beverage outlets, each with its own distinct offerings - a restaurant featuring a wide array of local and specialty cuisine, a cozy coffee shop serving a selection of popular Western and Asian dishes, and a lobby lounge that will feature live entertainment.

Holiday Inn Binhai Tianjin is a new built hotel with 250 well-appointed guestrooms and suites, and health and recreational facilities that include an indoor swimming pool, two tennis courts, a fully-equipped gym, a billiard hall, a beauty salon and a 500-square meter Spa. 

Tianjin is one of the four municipalities under the direct leadership of the Chinese Central Government, along with Beijing, Shanghai and Chongqing.  TEDA is situated southeast of Tianjin city and is considered the seat of Tianjin economy, registering a GDP of RMB38.009 billion in 2002 or 18.8% of Tianjinís total GDP.
