WICHITA,
KANSAS, November 13, 2004 At the International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant
Show held in New York, New York, USA, The Softwear Group introduces an
exciting new line of business software components that allow hotels to
leverage technology advances to dramatically improve the guest experience.
The Attribute Inventory Manager, AIM, allows a property to inventory
room attributes (amenities) so that as guests make requests they can be
told whether or not those requests can be met. As simple as this
may sound, it is something that hoteliers today cannot do. AIM eliminates
the Rubiks Cube-like frustration of preassigning rooms to meet guests
requests.
The Room Rotation Manager is an extension of AIM, which makes smarter
room assignments. The Room Rotation Manager watches patterns of commonly
requested attributes and selects a room number for assignment that is as
close to the requested combination of attributes yet away from those most
likely to be requested. The result is that guests requests are more
often met because attributes are left open for request.
The VIP Guest Manager goes even one step further. By attaching
a weight value to five different guest entities, this component allows
smarter business decisions to be made. For example: If the company
a guest is associated with has a very high weight and the guest simply
requests a room with a king bed, the VIP Guest Manager will look at the
most commonly requested combination of attributes associated with king-bedded
rooms and attempt to place this guest in a room that has those attributes.
The logic is that if those attributes are commonly requested then they
must be highly valued to those in the know about the property after all,
shouldnt highly valued guests get such amenities? Additionally,
The VIP Guest Manager will over-ride rate or room availability issues for
higher weighted guests.
