Under the terms of the agreement, Agon will oversee operations and provide expertise and support for human resource needs, business planning, and marketing.  As part of a revitalized marketing strategy, the hotel has signed on to be branded as the Best Western Astor Hotel, Makati.  Located in the heart of Manila�s financial and business district, the hotel will be the second property for Best Western in the Philippines. 

Richard Agon, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Agon says, �the Astor Hotel is a property with a lot of potential and our aim is to turn it around to be the preferred three star property in the area in terms of service, value, and comfort.  And its location is great, being alongside the central business district and near a bustling night life.�

Agon also has its eye on other properties in the region.  Richard Agon says that �this property is our first in the Philippines, but we are looking at other exciting possibilities as well in the area.  Though the Peso remains low, the country has shown signs of renewed economic life and we want to be there as and when it happens.�
