Truition Signs Alliance Agreement with Leading
Hotel and Hospitality Channel Integrator
Truition and Hotel Booking Solutions team to offer hospitality industry
powerful tool to access new online sales channels
(Toronto, Canada, November 16, 2004) – Truition Inc., a leader in the development of online marketplace solutions for the enterprise sector, today announced a strategic alliance with Hotel Booking Solutions L.L.C. (HBS), a provider of distribution management solutions for the hospitality industry.  The partnership will create a multi-channel online solution that will allow hotel operators to efficiently distribute inventory on marketplaces such as eBay and, as well as their own private-branded auction platforms.

HBS’s flagship product, hobooBox™, is a channel management system that integrates with the most widely used inventory management and reservations systems in the hospitality industry, including both PMS and CRS systems.  hobooBox automatically updates rates, availability and restrictions, and streamlines the process of managing hotel inventory and distribution channels.

The integration of hobooBox™, technology with Truition's AMP (Auction and Marketplace Platform), will provide hotel operators with the opportunity to distribute inventory on the world’s leading online marketplaces.  The alliance will also facilitate a seamless integration of Truition’s AMP platform and most hotel inventory management/reservation systems, thereby creating a fully integrated multi-channel distribution platform.  This will allow hotel operators to control each online distribution channel directly, and in the most effective means possible.

“We are pleased to partner with Truition as they continue to make inroads in the travel and hospitality industry ” said Stephen Burke, VP of Business Development at Hotel Booking Solutions.  “Truition’s proven technology and marketplace expertise, together with our hobooBox™ solution, will result in an ideal solution for hospitality-specific online commerce.”

The combined solution will allow hotel and hospitality operators to concurrently sell and manage inventory on 3rd party online marketplaces, as well as their own branded online  destinations.  This multi-channel strategy will open up new and effective sales channels, effectively distribute last minute inventory, and facilitate international market entry. The alliance between Truition and HBS simplifies the complexity involved in this process, allowing hotel providers to focus on their core competencies of servicing their customers and managing operations.

“Truition’s commitment to providing our clients with the most effective multi-channel solutions is further strengthened by this alliance with HBS. By leveraging the hobooBox™   technology, Truition is able to provide its current and future hospitality customers with a complete and seamlessly integrated solution, “ said Butch Langlois, President and CEO of Truition.

Truition’s unique mix of technology and service has proven successful for travel and hospitality organizations such as TUI, Thistle Hotels and, all of whom recognized that customers are increasingly turning to multiple online channels to find the best rates, up-to-date room availability, and guaranteed reservations.  Truition’s solution enabled these clients to flourish in the increasingly competitive online market by providing them with an easy and effective means of accessing and managing new markets.
