.
Ocho Rios, JAMAICA (December 2, 2004) With the spring holidays
just around the corner, Sunset Resorts gives families a reason to escape
to Jamaica with the opening of the Sunset Jamaica Grande Resort on March
19, 2005.
"This renovation will be legendary. The diverse facilities and dining options, new spa and expansive water recreation features will make Sunset Jamaica Grande a leader among many market segments," said Sunset Resorts Managing Director Ian Kerr. The March 19, 2005 opening has allowed the property to expand the scope of renovations, offering an array of new facilities and amenities for guests. Situated on the longest stretch of beach in Ocho Rios, Sunset Jamaica Grande will now fuse its new water recreation areas with its stellar beachfront location. A new, meandering water feature will link all three existing swimming pools together, as well as architecturally blend the pools along the beachfront. An exciting, new family friendly feature is also being added with a lighthouse with two water slides one slide that will 'shoot' guests into the Caribbean Sea and one into a swimming pool. A spa will also be added. The complex will feature eight treatment rooms, two couples' treatment rooms, a relaxation room and men's and women's locker rooms with separate sauna and steam rooms. A variety of massage, facial and body treatments will be offered, as well as a beauty salon with full nail, hair and waxing services. The refurbishment will also include a complete renovation to the main lobby including a new reception check in area, upgrading and expanding the resort's main dining area and Italian restaurant, the construction of a new entertainment area, extension of the main pool deck area, the addition of a new beach bar and grill and a new wedding gazebo. A restoration of the North and South lobby, two areas that are architectural mainstays of the resort, will also be finished. The resort's 730 guestrooms and suites will also be updated with new mattresses, new soft goods and new televisions. All other public areas will also be painted and generally refreshed. Repairs and upgrades will also be carried out to several infrastructure areas including air conditioning, elevators, electrical and water supply systems. About Sunset Resorts:
