 Robert Fox Appointed Vice President of Human
Resources for Carlson Hotels Worldwide


MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (Dec. 10, 2004)   Carlson Hotels Worldwide today announced the appointment of Robert Fox to the position of vice president of Human Resources for Carlson Hotels Worldwide.  Fox reports to Jay Witzel, president and CEO, Carlson Hotels Worldwide, and CEO, Carlson Cruises Worldwide.

Fox is responsible for overseeing human resources policies, training and development programs for the company whose hotel brands include Regent International Hotels, Radisson Hotels & Resorts, Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts, Country Inns & Suites By Carlson and Park Inn.  Fox replaces John Reynolds who recently was named vice president of Human Resources for Carlson Marketing Group, sister company of Carlson Hotels Worldwide.

Fox has over 30 years experience in the human resources industry and was most recently vice president of Human Resources for dj Orthopedics in Vista, Calif. where he provided change management oriented leadership to the human resources team as well as other managers and employees.  He also held a number of human resources positions including vice president of Human Resources with Honeywell in Phoenix, and director of Human Resources for Alliant Techsystems in Seattle.  Fox was also director of Affirmative Action for the State of Wisconsin.

Fox graduated from the University of Wisconsin in Madison with a bachelor of arts degree in economics and has completed graduate work in management, human relations and organizational behavior. 

Minneapolis-based Carlson Hotels Worldwide includes five hotel brands, totaling more than 890 locations in 68 countries.
