Timeshare Resort in Solvang, California |
.
REDMOND, WA -- September 3, 2004 - Trendwest Resorts, Inc. recently
began construction of a new resort in Solvang, California, located at 280
Alisal Road near the downtown city park and shopping district. The two-acre
WorldMark Solvang resort will be a charming compliment to the quaint Danish-inspired
architectural style seen throughout much of the community.
The town of Solvang is quite unique with its rich Danish culture, stated Gene Hensley, chief operating officer. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to introduce our WorldMark owners to a community that offers such a diverse vacation experience. Solvang truly brings a new dynamic to our network of WorldMark resorts in California. The 76-unit resort will contain a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom vacation condominiums; all warmly appointed with colors and fabrics reflecting the resorts European flavor. Each condominium will contain spacious living areas, a gas fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, televisions, DVD player, compact disc stereo and private balcony with gas barbeque. In addition, the resort will feature a swimming pool, childrens wading pool, recreation facility, and garden. Solvang, located 50 miles north of Santa Barbara in the Santa Ynez valley, was recently voted one of Sunset Magazines 10 Most Beautiful Small Towns in the Western United States. Owners visiting WorldMark Solvang can enjoy the flower-lined streets in the walk-able village or go shopping for European imports and collectibles from over 200 merchants. The town also has several exceptional golf courses and wine-tasting events from the local wineries. WorldMark Solvang, scheduled to open in September 2005, will be the 12th WorldMark resort in California. Trendwest is currently developing a 454-vacation condominium resort in Indio, CA and converting the historic Juliana Hotel in downtown San Francisco into an 88-unit timeshare property.
