Eugene Silvestri Appointed General Manager
of The Hilton Myrtle Beach

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, September, 2004 - The Hilton Myrtle Beach, a Felcor Lodging Trust property, is pleased to announce the appointment of Eugene Silvestri to General Manager of the recently renovated 385-room hotel. 
 
Silvestri brings 19 years of successful hotel management experience in the hospitality industry to his new role at the Hilton Myrtle Beach.  Most recently, Silvestri was General Manager at the Embassy Suites St. Louis Downtown where he helped to transition the property from a franchise to a company managed property when he took over in 1998.  He also opened up the St. Louis Fish Market restaurant within the hotel.

years with the Holiday Inn, in which he completed their Operations management training along with their General Managers Training program.  He held positions in both Sales and Food & Beverage.  Upon joining Embassy Suites in 1995 as General Manager of the Piscataway property, Silvestri led the hotel through an extensive renovation resulting in increased quality and service acknowledgements.

Silvestri holds the Certified Hotel Administrator along with the Food & Beverage Executive distinction from the American Hotel / Motel Association.   He was active with the St. Louis CVC and St. Louis Sports Commission and served on the board of the St. Louis Hotel / Motel Association. Silvestri recently finished a 3-½ year term as Cluster GM for Missouri.

A graduate of Johnson & Wales University (Hospitality Management) , Silvestri , his wife Joan and their three children, Reilly (age 10), Owen (age 7) and  Danielle (age 5) are excited about joining the Kingston Plantation family.
