Maddock, who most recently served as Vice President & General Manager of the KSL Resorts-managed Claremont Resort in Berkeley, Calif., brings extensive hospitality experience, including three years at Shangri La Hotels and Resorts in Bangkok, Thailand, Manila and Hong Kong, where he held the position of Hotel Manager.  He will begin at the Biltmore in early October.

Maddock launched his hotel career with Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, where he spent nine years, mostly in Hawaii, in various management positions.   Familiar with Arizona, Maddock served as Director of Rooms with the Boulders Resort in Carefree.  His career also includes a stint at the Westin Century Plaza Hotel & Spa. 

Maddock holds a Bachelor of Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Administration degree from Washington State University.  He is classically trained as a chef saucier and has 10 years of culinary experience in upscale independent restaurants and hotels in the Pacific West and Alaska.
