Ms Leong, who is currently the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Raffles Holdings Limited and the Executive Director of Raffles International, has had the opportunity over the last three years to lead the various corporate departments within the Group.  In the past year and a half, she has also been actively involved in the operational aspects of the business.  In her appointment as CEO of Raffles International, Ms Leong will continue to work with Ms Jennie Chua, who continues in her position as Chairman of Raffles International and President and CEO of Raffles Holdings.

Over the past year and a half, Raffles International has been on a path of steady growth with the addition of six management agreements.  Three luxury resorts were added to the Raffles Hotels & Resorts portfolio, including Raffles Resort Canouan Island in the Grenadines.  And through Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts, the group gained foothold in Japan and Russia with the addition of Swissôtel Nankai Osaka and Swissôtel Krasnye Holmy Moscow.  This is in line with the Group�s stated objective to pursue an asset-light strategy to grow its global portfolio of hotels through an appropriate mix of management and lease contracts.
