Executes Swift Renovation of Fort Myers Hotel

CHICAGO, IL�Sept. 30, 2004�The Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa is not only getting back to business in record time after being hit by Hurricane Charley, but it is also getting a fresh look.  Renowned interior design and procurement firm The Gettys Group is moving quickly to expand its original design work that helped Sanibel Harbour Resort and & Spa achieve a 95 percent facility approval rating by Preferred Hotels and Resorts Worldwide.  Swift action by the firm will help the hotel return to full operating status by the beginning of 2005�only a few months after the hurricane damaged the hotel.  The Sanibel Harbour Resort and Spa is located in Fort Myers, Fla., overlooking Sanibel and Captiva Islands.

The Gettys Group completed an initial renovation of the Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa in 2002.  The firm responded immediately to the hotel�s call for restoration because of damage inflicted by Hurricane Charley. The firm will re-design all 401 guest rooms; the main hotel lobby and the main lobby of the Inn at Sanibel Harbour, a boutique hotel located on a corner of the resort property; three food and beverage outlets and 45,000 square feet of indoor function space that contains four ballrooms and 24 meeting rooms.  The firm will also integrate new technologies throughout the hotel.  A final budget has not been established, but it is estimated to be a multi-million dollar project.

A hotel renovation of this magnitude would normally take about one year to complete; however The Gettys Group is fast-tracking the project with a dedicated design and procurement team that will enable the hotel to re-open in time for high season.
