In his new position, Gelman is working closely with Executive Chef Michael Cairns to manage and implement all of the resort's extensive dining operations, which range from 24-hour room service for the 730 guest accommodations to five different restaurants and lounges. He came to Arizona's landmark "Grand Dame" from Michael's at The Citadel, in Scottsdale, where he served as executive chef of catering & banquets with responsibility for all tournament events such as the Phoenix Open. Previously, he was the owner and executive chef of Napa Gardens Catering, Napa Valley, California, which featured his menu of Napa Valley Cuisine with Mediterranean influences.
