CHICAGO - July 16, 2004 -- Chicago-based Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced
today it is assuming management of the 155-room hotel located at the Historic
Railroad Square in Santa Rosa, Calif. - in the heart of Sonoma County,
renowned for its world-class wine production. The hotel has been renamed
Hyatt Vineyard Creek and offers a full service boutique hotel, spa, exquisite
dining and conference center. The hotel, just over two years old, offers
state-of-the-art facilities and amenities.
Rim Hospitality, based in Modesto, California, will continue to act
as the asset manager for the hotel owner, Vineyard Creek, LLC. "We at Rim
are confident that Hyatt's Conference Center experience will be the final
piece that Hyatt Vineyard Creek will need to be Sonoma County's hotel market
leader," said Mark Burden, Chief Executive Officer, Rim Hospitality. Hyatt
Vineyard Creek will be Hyatt's 27th property in California and its 211th
worldwide.
In addition to leisure travelers getting away to wine country, the hotel also caters to group and conference attendees with 18,000 square feet of indoor meeting space and 36,000 square feet of outdoor meeting space. Guests can relax at the full service spa featuring deep tissue massages, aromatherapy, facials and more. Hyatt Vineyard Creek offers guests a unique sculpture garden on the grounds with pieces commissioned by leading local artists.
