 The Carino Collection Adds RockResorts
to its Growing Client Roster

Ten exclusive luxury properties bring the number of CARINO hotels to
more than 60,  as CARINO moves even more aggressively
into high-end leisure sales

NEW YORK, July 21, 2004 – The CARINO Collection, the most innovative sales representation company for independent hotels, announced that the ten luxury properties comprising RockResorts have joined CARINO as members.

CARINO will provide RockResort hotels with comprehensive sales services including group sales, marketing to high-end travel agencies, and centralization of Rock Resorts’ consortia strategy and outreach. For CARINO, the announcement signifies an even more aggressive foray into the leisure-resort property market; it comes on the heels of a record-breaking year, 2003, in which CARINO doubled the size of its portfolio to close to 50 hotels, expanded membership to 35 cities and ten countries, grew its portfolio by more than 40% outside the United States and launched a private-label version of its acclaimed SalesConnect software.

According to Carino, the addition of RockResorts “rounds out our portfolio and brings us a group of high-end luxury resort properties that is without peer.” He added, “We are delighted to welcome RockResorts to the CARINO Collection, and at the same time, to note that we have reached a ‘critical mass’ in our ability to sell and service the high-end resort market.”

Debbie McDole, Corporate Director of Sales for RockResorts, said, “We are delighted to join forces with CARINO to take our sales efforts to the next level.” She concluded, “We look forward to working with Joe Carino and his team as we make 2004 the most successful year ever for RockResorts.”
