Wyndham Anatole Chooses Bartech Automatic Minibars
-
Automatic Solution Streamlines Operations
for over 900+ Guest Rooms

BWI CORRIDOR, MD (July 6, 2004) Bartech Systems International, a premier provider of minibar solutions and the leader in automatic minibar technology, today announced that Dallas legendary Wyndham Anatole Hotel has selected Bartech automatic minibars for its distinctive atrium buildings, which contain nearly 900 guest rooms.

Plans also include Bartech for the Wyndham Anatoles tower building (still in redesign and enhancement phase as part of the hotels $39 million renovation), concluding in 2005.  The Wyndham Anatole is using the automated minibar solution to replace its current honor bars, reinforcing its reputation for commitment to meeting guests service needs.

The Wyndham Anatole selected Bartech for its ability to help reduce labor costs up to 75% for minibar operations. With 1,614 rooms, the cost was substantial to service each guest room manually on a daily basis.

Bartechs automatic system identifies which guest rooms require service, enabling attendants to save time by not entering rooms that have not had items removed from the minibar. The attendant can service four times the number of rooms compared to a manual system, greatly reducing labor costs.  Plus, guests are not disturbed unnecessarily.

The decision to go automatic was easy, said Ed Dorman, director of food and beverage for the Wyndham Anatole.  Costs to service the manual system were just too high to continue.  Bartech was able to customize the automatic system to accomplish our labor savings goals, as well as our profitability targets.

Bartechs refill and reporting information also helps to speed replenishment, eliminate expired inventory, reduce energy costs and enhance merchandising for popular high-profit products.

During its renovation, the Wyndham Anatole was at a critical decision point on minibars, said Mark Holzberg, President of Bartech The Americas.  Costs were too high to maintain the current honor bar system, but guests were requesting rooms with minibars. Our automatic system allowed the hotel to dramatically reduce costs and at the same time satisfy their guests demands for convenience and service. It was a win-win solution that will enable the Wyndham Anatole to improve its position in a competitive market.  We greatly appreciate the business, and very much look forward to working with the folks at the Wyndham Anatole.

Bartech automated minibars provide the ability to control and track refreshment revenues and usage.  Charges are posted directly to the property management system (PMS) in real time, making minibar operations efficient and profitable while minimizing guest disputes and lost revenues.  Bartechs automatic minibars enable hotels to reduce their labor costs by seventy-five percent (75%) and dramatically reduce losses from disputes and theft compared to manual honor bars.   Plus, Bartechs software provides the refill and reporting information to speed replenishment, eliminate expired inventory, reduce energy costs and enhance merchandising for popular high-profit products.
