NORTH SHORE, OAHU, HAWAII, July 2004 - Benchmark Hospitality International
of The Woodlands (Houston), Texas, has appointed Malgorzata Bardzik-Cox
as controller at Hawaii's Turtle Bay Resort, the landmark property located
on Oahu's North Shore.
Abid Butt, managing director of the resort, made the announcement, saying,
"I am very pleased to announce the promotion of Malgorzata Bardzik-Cox
to controller. Malgorzata is an exemplary professional with an extensive
background in finance. She brings important industry experience to
her new role at the resort."
Malgorzata Bardzik-Cox is a graduate of the University of Szczecin, located in Szczecin, Poland, where she earned her Master of Science Degree in Economics and graduated magna cum laude. She and her family reside in Honolulu. Also, Benchmark Hospitality has appointed Daniel J. Daughtry director of conference and food & beverage services at Turtle Bay Resort. Abid Butt, managing director of Turtle Bay Resort, made the announcement. Mr. Daughtry brings over a decade of distinguished hospitality experience to his position as director of conference and food & beverage services, with several of these years spent in Hawaii. Most recently, he was director of food & beverage for the Four-Diamond Pacific Islands Club Resort Saipan, on Saipan in the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands. At this property he was responsible for a staff of 130 service and culinary professionals, four restaurants and three lounges. Previous to this, Mr. Daughtry was acting director of food & beverage for the Fairmont Hamilton Princess, located in Hamilton, Bermuda, where he started as assistant director of food & beverage. Prior to this he was restaurant manager for the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, Kona, Hawaii. During the mid 1990s, Mr. Daughtry served in positions of increasing responsibility within the food & beverage department of the Five-Diamond Hyatt Regency Maui, located in Lahaina, Hawaii. Mr. Daughtry is a graduate of Washington State University, located in Pullman, Washington, where he earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in Hotel & Restaurant Administration. He attended the Professional Development Program at Cornell University of Ithaca, New York. Mr. Daughtry resides in North Shore, Hawaii.
