Abid Butt, managing director of the resort, made the announcement, saying, "I am very pleased to announce the promotion of Malgorzata Bardzik-Cox to controller.  Malgorzata is an exemplary professional with an extensive background in finance.  She brings important industry experience to her new role at the resort."
 

Ms. Bardzik-Cox originally joined Turtle Bay Resort in 2002 assuming the role of assistant controller.  She came to the property following several years in the Washington, DC, market, where she served in positions of increasing responsibility within Accounting for The St. Regis Hotel.  Her last position in Washington, DC, was as director Six Sigma, Black Belt, where she was responsible for The St. Regis Hotel and Capitol Hill Suites Hotel, establishing and monitoring Six Sigma projects for the properties.  Six Sigma is a system-wide approach to customer relations and business decisions with the goal of embracing change, calculating risk and generating innovation to drive value and facilitate financial returns. Ms. Bardzik-Cox has considerable experience in financial accounting for hotels in Poland and Russia, having worked for many years for Radisson Hotels & Resorts within these countries.

Malgorzata Bardzik-Cox is a graduate of the University of Szczecin, located in Szczecin, Poland, where she earned her Master of Science Degree in Economics and graduated magna cum laude.  She and her family reside in Honolulu.

Also, Benchmark Hospitality has appointed Daniel J. Daughtry director of conference and food & beverage services at Turtle Bay Resort. Abid Butt, managing director of Turtle Bay Resort, made the announcement.

Mr. Daughtry brings over a decade of distinguished hospitality experience to his position as director of conference and food & beverage services, with several of these years spent in Hawaii.  Most recently, he was director of food & beverage for the Four-Diamond Pacific Islands Club Resort Saipan, on Saipan in the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands.  At this property he was responsible for a staff of 130 service and culinary professionals, four restaurants and three lounges.

Previous to this, Mr. Daughtry was acting director of food & beverage for the Fairmont Hamilton Princess, located in Hamilton, Bermuda, where he started as assistant director of food & beverage. Prior to this he was restaurant manager for the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, Kona, Hawaii.

During the mid 1990s, Mr. Daughtry served in positions of increasing responsibility within the food & beverage department of the Five-Diamond Hyatt Regency Maui, located in Lahaina, Hawaii.

Mr. Daughtry is a graduate of Washington State University, located in Pullman, Washington, where he earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in Hotel & Restaurant Administration.  He attended the Professional Development Program at Cornell University of Ithaca, New York.  Mr. Daughtry resides in North Shore, Hawaii.
