Rikki Boparai Named Director of Operations
of Cheyenne Mountain Resort

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado, Aug. 27, 2004  - Rikki Boparai has been named director of operations for Cheyenne Mountain Resort, announced Laura Neumann, vice president and general manager.
 
Boparai, who has 10 years of  hospitality management experience with major resorts, joined Cheyenne Mountain Resort two years ago as director of rooms.  Under his leadership, significant strides were made in growing leisure business:  FIT rooms increased from 13,000 in 2002 to more than 24,000 expected this year.  He also oversaw significant capital improvements to the property, which were executed in a creative, timely and cost-efficient manner, and served as interim general manager for three months earlier this year.  With his promotion to

director of operations, Boparai's responsibilities include overseeing the front office, housekeeping, engineering, grounds, security, the Night Manager program and the capital budget, while also pursuing an AAA Four-Diamond rating for the resort in 2005.

Prior to Cheyenne Mountain Resort, he held senior positions at a variety of high-profile luxury properties including serving as:  director of operations, La Playa Beach and Golf Resorty, Naples, Florida;  director of rooms, Hotel Viking, Newport, Rhode Island;  hotel manager, Grove Isle Club and Resort, Miami, Florida;  front office manager, Hotel Allegro, Chicago;  and assistant general manager, Hotel Triton, San Francisco.
