.
CHESTERFIELD, Mo., (August 18, 2004)- The Doubletree® Hotel and
Conference Center St. Louis, located on 20 acres in the wooded suburb of
Chesterfield Mo., today announced the start of the second phase of a $5
million hotelwide renovation that began last year. When the entire
renovation is completed by the first quarter of 2005, the Doubletree Hotel
and Conference Center St. Louis will offer one of the most technologically
advanced conference centers in the St. Louis area. The uniquely dedicated
conference center at the Doubletree is perfectly suited for small-to-medium-sized
meetings and already meets the stringent certification requirements of
the International Association of Conference Centers (IACC).
The main project in phase two of the Doubletree renovation is updating the 20,000 square-foot, IACC-approved conference center, which will feature new carpeting, wall finishes, artwork and lighting as well as a new falcon-style table in the conference centers Great Room. In addition, a new state-of-the-art business center will be available for use by conference center guests. An enhanced sound system and a new inventory of portable audiovisual equipment will round out the improvements to the conference center. This dedicated conference center complements the hotels 15,000 square feet of additional event and exhibit space, including a 6,000-square-foot ballroom, which can easily accommodate groups of up to 600. Located within 20 minutes of both St. Louis airports at the gateway to the Midwest, the Doubletree Hotel & Conference Center St. Louis provides a unique corporate retreat in the heart of the country. Each of the hotels 223 spacious guest rooms provides both the comforts of home with the conveniences of the office. Amenities include wireless internet access in all guestrooms as well as two telephones, one with dual ports. Executive suites located on the top floor are beautifully appointed with separate sitting parlors and sleeping rooms, wet bars and a variety of upgraded amenities and services. Recreation is also a significant component of the hotel & conference center which features 9 indoor and 6 outdoor tennis courts as well as racquetball courts and indoor and outdoor pools. |
