to Hilton Nashville Downtown;
With 330 Suites and 15,000 Sq Ft of Meeting Space
Hotel Was not a Typical Suite Property

Beverly Hills, CA., May 6, 2004 – Hilton Hotels Corporation announced today that Hilton Suites Nashville Downtown will change its name to Hilton Nashville Downtown, effective immediately.
Ray Waters, general manager of the Hilton Nashville Downtown stated that change was necessary as meeting professionals and customers have commented on numerous occasions that this hotel was not a typical suite property. Waters conducted in-depth research on the impact of a name change and the results showed that the name change would reflect the true services and facilities of the hotel and provide clear representation of the product to the public.

“We are proud to be a part of the Hilton Family,” said Waters.  “We know this name change will assist meeting planners, our local convention and visitors bureau and our customers in promoting this property as a full-service upscale hotel to their constituents.”

“The Nashville Convention and Visitors Bureau sales and marketing team is ecstatic about the name change,” said Butch Spyridon, president of the Nashville Convention and Visitors Bureau.   “The new Hilton Hotel name will greatly assist our team in selling the downtown hotel package to meeting professionals as a premier destination for conventions all over the country.”

“For the past four years the Tennessee Bankers Association has used the Hilton,” said Susan Taylor Baker, CMP.  “We are all excited to be a part of this upgrade for the Hilton.  Our meeting attendees have high expectations for the hotel we select for their conferences.   The Hilton Nashville Downtown delivers exemplary service and accommodations for us which reinforces why this name change is appropriate.” Ms. Taylor Baker is the Director of Professional Development Associate Director of Education for the Tennessee Bankers Association.
