Ayres Hotel Group Standardizes with epitome PMS

Lake Forest, CA (May 10, 2004)... Hotel Information Systems (HIS), a division of MAI Systems Corporation (OTCBB: MAIY.OB) announces that it has been selected to provide its epitome Property Management System in all Ayres properties.  
The implementation of epitome PMS will enable Ayres to standardize operations and information throughout its sixteen Southern California hotels. The flexible, yet consistent configuration and processing of epitome PMS provides Ayres with the tools to increase operational efficiencies, while they continue to provide the uniquely personalized guest service for which they are known.  The first installation is currently under-way at Ayres� brand new property in Hawthorne, California.  The property is scheduled to open on May 13, 2004.
