Lane Hospitality Taps StayOnline Again . |
Atlanta, GA May 27, 2004 -- As part of its
recent $6 million renovation, the Hilton College Station & Conference
Center now offers fully wireless high speed Internet access (HSIA) in guest
rooms, meeting rooms and common areas. StayOnline, which has handled several
other installations for the hotels management company/owner, Lane Hospitality,
has completed the College Stations 100% wireless high-speed Internet connectivity,
adding to its growing inventory of over 50,000 wireless guest rooms across
the US.
Right in the heart of Texas, the Hilton College Station & Conference Center is located at the intersection of University Drive and Tarrow Boulevard, less than two miles from Texas A&M University. The hotels renovation included its 303 guest rooms, lobby, public areas and a total restaurant renovation, featuring the Bell Ranch Steakhouse, Lane Hospitalitys new restaurant concept. The Hilton also offers over 26,000 square feet of wirelessly enabled meeting and ballroom space, and all 303-guest rooms including 65 Executive Suites and a 2-bedroom Presidential Suite. "This hotel and conference center, because of its proximity to the University and the George Bush Presidential Library, attracts not only educators, visiting faculty and research personnel who need a quick, reliable Internet connection, but also Texas A & M fans, potential students and business travelers," said Bryon Crowley, Controller of Lane Hospitality. "Many of these travelers were among the early wireless adapters, so they expect a wireless connection when they visit us." Lane Hospitality, a leading hotel management company with a portfolio of hotels spanning nine states, expects to utilize StayOnlines services to install or fully implement HSIA in several of its properties over the summer. According to Crowley, many major hotel brands are mandating that hotels implement a wired, wireless or combined HSIA in 100% of their guest rooms and meeting spaces by the end of this year. "Based on the demands of our guests for a simple, reliable and untethered connection, we have chosen wireless as our HSIA solution," says Crowley. "Having wireless Internet connectivity in guest rooms is a more desirable choice, given advances in wireless technology. Our nation has more than 70 million unique wireless users," added Crowley, "and we want to ensure that our hotels are fully capable of meeting their needs. StayOnline has been a leading wireless service provider since the inception of their company. They understand and appreciate the needs of ensuring that each and every part of a hotel is covered." "We appreciate the confidence that Lane continues to show in us," said Antonio DiMilia, President and CEO of StayOnline. "Were pleased to be making wireless inroads deep in the heart of Texas at the Hilton College Station & Conference Center, one of the areas premiere properties."
