Ramesys Dominates as the Leader of UNIX and Web Based Property Management Systems (PMS) and Brings Latest Enterprise Offerings to HITEC
June 16, 2004 - With a diversity of solutions covering both character and web/Windows PMS, enterprise systems and telecom solutions, the company believes it has something for everyone.

Ramesys, long established as a 24 year vendor of quality PMS with its ImagInn UNIX software used at nationwide chains such as Country Inns & Suites by Carlson, Microtel Inns by USFS and Baymont Inns & Suites, has continued its successful development program with new contracts over the past six months with all its product areas.

Ramesys is also the dominant player in the increasingly important web based PMS sector with what is believed to be the largest number of installations worldwide - totalling over 400 locations - running its Entirety Enterprise Suite.  The software, first deployed in 2000, has a rapidly expanding installation base following the company's decision to make it available to single, stand-alone hotels on a shared/hosted server basis.

Entirety appeals to stand-alone properties by giving hotel managers and owners time to concentrate on customers rather than worrying about IT.  Ramesys has added functionality on a modular basis so each installation can be matched to a property's needs and budget.

At the other end of the spectrum, Travel Inn is one of the UK's largest hotel chains with over 18,000 rooms.  It installed the Ramesys chain solution and now reports $1.8m of additional revenue per month due to its cross-selling capabilities.  The Ramesys software supports the complete enterprise - PMS, CRes and web reservations.  The company's MPower software can interact with several PMS from multiple vendors to build the corporate view of every transaction for chain and management company customers.

The company recently announced it had entered into an agreement with USFS to become the exclusive vendor of PMS at over 250 Microtel Inns in the US.  This will see Ramesys' worldwide installation base exceed 4,000 properties, with ImagInn particularly dominant in the mid-scale/economy sector with nearly 300 Country Inns & Suites and almost 200 Baymont Inns & Suites.

With such a large installation base, what is next for the New Jersey-based vendor in the highly competitive US market?  Andrew Sanders, director of sales and marketing for the company, says, "Our goal is to become the new gold standard in our market niche of mid-market/full service chain and independent hotels.  With a wide range of products, including a fully integrated sales and catering module, we are also attractive to the most demanding, high end chain."

Continuing investment in its products and customer service is key to the company's goals of expansion.

The company is active in the telecom sector, also, and supplies PBX systems and service on a nationwide basis to customers like The Hotel Group (Edmonds, WA) and Extended Stay American (Spartanburg, SC).  "We offer a variety of products for telecom, but there is huge demand for IP based PBXs with Mitel systems proving most popular," continued Sanders.

The company is focused on providing high quality services and solutions to some of the most demanding names in hospitality.  It has delivered consistent earnings growth and sees the future in continually improving service and offering the latest technology platform, such as web solutions, to an increasingly buoyant hospitality market.
