 Real Estate Company Grupo Plan Assigns Starwood
to Manage the 15 room Puerta Campeche Hotel
In Mexico's Yucatan

Joins Starwood's Luxury Collection

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y - June 14, 2004 -- Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: HOT) signed an agreement with Grupo Plan to take over the management of the company's Puerta Campeche hotel in Mexico. Dating back to the mid-1600's, this charming and quaint hacienda-style hotel joins Starwood's portfolio of Luxury Collection properties. Located in the city of Campeche on the Yucatan peninsula and declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 1999, The Puerta Campeche Hotel is Starwood's seventh Luxury Collection property in Mexico.

The hotel features 15 spacious, luxurious guestrooms, a Governor Suite, two luxury suites, seven junior suites and five superior standard guestrooms. Restaurant "La Guardia," with its classic Spanish colonial style, offers a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere specializing in regional cuisine with an accent on seafood. Bar "La Cava" exudes an ambience that recalls its rich colonial past as well as modern-day existence featuring an outstanding selection of wines from the Campeche region. The bar features a beautiful terrace called "El Tejaban" outfitted with plush sofas and chairs offering exquisite views of the terrace's fountain. The hotel also features a business center and library.

The Puerta Campeche hotel invites guests to relive the glory of Mexico's colonial days while indulging in the town's nostalgia, cuisine, walks and profound cultural life.
