NEVIS, West Indies � June 24, 2004 � Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts
is pleased to announce the appointment of Martin Sinclair to General Manager.
Sinclair joined Four Seasons Resort Nevis in September 2002 in the role
of Resort Manager. A seasoned hospitality executive, he brings to
his post more than 20 years of experience in Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts
across the world. Effective August 1, 2004, the resort will also
welcome Todd Cilano as its new Resort Manager. Cilano is currently
Director of Rooms at Four Seasons Hotel London.
Sinclair is preceded as General Manager by British-born Robert Whitfield, who will join the new Four Seasons Hotel in Palo Alto, California as General Manager, leading the hotel's pre-opening team. Whitfield, who has spent six years in Nevis and more than 10 years in the Caribbean, will assume his new role in late June. Sinclair was Residence Club Manager at the pioneering Four Seasons Residence Club Aviara in Carlsbad, California prior to joining Four Seasons Resort Nevis. Previously, he was Director of Rooms for Ritz-Carlton, Chicago (A Four Seasons Hotel) and before that, Director of Rooms for Four Seasons Hotel Chicago. Other experience includes Resort Manager at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay and various Front Office managerial positions with the Regent Hotels in Sydney, Australia and Auckland, New Zealand. A native New Zealander, Sinclair began his hotel career as a management trainee at Intercontinental Hotels in Auckland, New Zealand. He currently resides in Nevis, West Indies with his wife and two young daughters.
