June 10, 2004 - MAI Canada, Ltd., (formerly a
wholly owned subsidiary of MAI Systems Corporation) is now a privately
held organization conducting business in Canada for over 35 years. The
company is headquartered in Richmond Hill, Ontario and provides a wide
array of services in primarily the Hospitality market by supplying software,
hardware, training and support, as well as full consulting and networking
facilities. For more than three decades, MAI Canada was the Canadian subsidiary
for MAI Systems Corporation ( also the parent company for Computerized
Lodging Systems �CLS�, and Hotel Information Systems �HIS�) and during
that time it positioned itself as the reseller of all products developed
and supported by the US Based Headquarters.
Upon
privatization in 2002, MAI Canada, Ltd. became the exclusive distributor
in Canada for Hotel Information Systems� multi-platform deployable product
offerings including epitome for UNIX, epitome for the iSeries and epitome
for Windows. Our enterprise management solutions are installed in a variety
of properties across Canada, as well as over 80 countries and 4000 operationally
diverse properties around the world, enabling efficient delivery of guest
services, revenue optimization and streamlined management. Some of
our clients include hotel chains such as Loews, Coast Hotels, Novotel,
Best Western and many other independent properties as well as some Educational
and Government institutions.
MAI Canada will be exhibiting at this year�s HITEC
in Dallas for the very first time to showcase their newest offering, Vision
Sales and Catering and Event Management System.
In
early 2003 MAI Canada, Ltd. entered into an agreement to become the exclusive
North American distributor for Vision Sales and Catering System, developed
by Progressive Business Solutions of London, Ontario. Vision is a highly
functional and easy to use application that includes all aspect of full
Sales Office automation. Vision has complete Contact Management Facilities,
Catering Functions, Guest Room Blocking, Event Management and full report
generation among the many other features. Vision interfaces with most Back
Office systems as well as room design applications. Vision is extremely
flexible and can be deployed from small hotels with 4 or 5 meeting rooms
to large conference and trade show facilities with 1000s of square feet
of meeting space. Some of the Vision customers include, Sheraton, Ramada,
Renaissance, Hilton and Accor. Vision is also capable of handling the needs
of institutions such as public libraries, universities and others with
add-on modules such as Inventory, Program Control and Labour Trakker.
