Appointed to SVP Positions with Langham Hotels International |
HONG KONG, June 23, 2004 - Langham Hotels International
(LHI), the wholly-owned hotel operating and asset management subsidiary
of publicly listed Great Eagle Holdings Limited (HKSE: 41), announced today
the appointment of three senior executives for the functions of Development,
Sales and Marketing, and Operations at the Group's corporate level.
To cope with the rapid expansion of this new five-star international hotel chain,
Dr Lo Ka Shui, Deputy Chairman and Managing Director of Great Eagle
Holdings Limited and Chairman of Langham Hotels International, stated,
''These key appointments reflect Langham Group's commitment to own and
operate high quality hotels, and to further the expansion of Langham Hotels
International.'' Lo added, ''With the successful launch of the Langham
brand in January 2003, we will continue to focus our worldwide development
of deluxe hotels in gateway cities.''
L to R: Kevin Murphy, Brett Butcher and Nigel Roberts Kevin Murphy, Senior Vice President - Development, will spearhead the Langham Group's development of management contracts worldwide and hotel investment in gateway cities around the globe. Brett Butcher, Senior Vice President - Sales & Marketing, will head the LHI's worldwide sales and marketing functions, particularly in brand building, corporate communications, e-business development, the hotel chain's sales and marketing strategies, customer relationship management and partnership marketing. Butcher will retain his role of being the Managing Director of Langham Place Hotel, Mongkok, Hong Kong and Eaton Hotel Hong Kong. Nigel Roberts, Senior Vice President - Operations, will be responsible for ensuring the highest standard of fine hospitality service and qualifying LHI's emergence as a truly global deluxe portfolio. His responsibility will cover LHI hotels in London, Boston, Melbourne, Auckland and Hong Kong. Roberts will continue to be the Managing Director of Langham Hotel, Hong Kong. |
